My Coaching Journey
My Coaching Journey
Have you ever felt like life was passing you by and you were just a passenger and never the driver?
Like you’re the invisible person with no purpose, drive or commitment who is floating with no connection to anything.
Well that was me, and this feeling, this disconnect had penetrated every inch of my life and I didn’t even know it.
When I started looking into life coaching it was just one of those things that interested me, I didn’t think I would do anything with it, I have a track record of starting and not finishing, so I signed up and got the information booklet, which I still don’t think I have read. Then I received the call and I signed up on the spot, I needed something anything I was grasping at whatever came my way. My first real chance to wet my toes in this world of life coaching was “base camp”, for me this was an amazing few days and really opened my eyes to much of my world, the stuff, baggage, negative patterns and thoughts that I had been using to navigate through my world. I walked away from this weekend, feeling like I has scraped the top of something huge and that something was me. Life coaching was the thing that I wanted to do for a career but it was also the thing that I needed to do to find me.
I walked away feeling energised and purposeful, like I was beginning to realign with myself. I discovered a door that had been opened and when I walked through that door I could see, feel and touch the happiness that was possible within my life. I also discovered the amazing contentment and gratitude I felt deep within my being when I was granted the opportunity to support another person to live their best life. The feeling of being able to give without wanting anything in return and the powerful energy that gave to me. I discovered my strengths and weaknesses and how to alter, manage, navigate and move through my life to achieve my best possible outcome. I discovered the power of being authentic to myself, my soul and my connection to those around me who are important to me.
What I found out becoming a life coach is the greatest gift I have ever received; I found myself
